Danny Quah
Danny Quah is Head of Department and Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also Director of the Technology and Growth Programme at LSE’s Centre for Economic Performance, Governor of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research and Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Growth.
In economics he has made huge contributions across a very wide range of areas, ranging from time-series econometrics, business cycles, inflation, and international income inequality to, most recently, technology and economic growth. He regularly speaks at seminars around the world on his focus subjects including inequality in economic growth and policies that affect societies such as international property rights issues.
Danny Quah is a highly respected figure in the world of economics with experience including work as a consultant for the World Bank, governor of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, and consultant to the Bank of England among his credentials. As a regular contributor to major economic journals, he also found a place in Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in Economics (1997).
