Mark Austin is a British journalist and news presenter. He has worked for the ITN news organization for over 30 years, where he has held several positions including foreign correspondent, political correspondent, and anchor of the flagship news programs “ITN News at Ten” and “ITN News at 5:30.” He has covered major news events around the world, including the Gulf War, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the war in Iraq.
In 2016, Austin left ITN to join the UK’s Sky News as a presenter, where he has presented the evening news program “Sky News at 5” and the breakfast show “Sunrise”
In addition to his work as a journalist, Austin is also a patron of the children’s charity “Kids Company” and has written a book, “A Father’s Story”, in which he described his daughter Maddy’s anorexia and the impact it had on his family.
He has won several awards for his work as a journalist, including the Royal Television Society’s News Presenter of the Year award and the Royal Society for the Arts’ Gold Medal.
