Emeritus Professor of Organizational Behavior at INSEAD, André Laurent’s work concentrates on cross-cultural management.
His research, published in numerous articles and books, investigates the impact of national cultures on management and organizational processes. His teaching centers on cultural diversity in multinational organizations as it affects multicultural teams, human resource management, corporate culture and organizational change. As a consultant to major corporations around the globe, he has worked on many projects related to the merging of organizational cultures across borders.
Before joining INSEAD, he was on the faculty of the University of Michigan, Institute for Social Research. Prior to that, he worked as an Industrial Psychologist for Pechiney in West Africa.
Originally trained as a Clinical Psychologist, André holds a degree in Sociology and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and an ITP degree from Harvard University.
